Cut the notch in the top of the stringers. It must be exactly where it was before. The main part of the floor (the floor everywhere except on either side of the bilge well) will come in two parts, each 4 feet long. The seam will be on the cross bracing. The center of the cross brace must be exactly 4 feet from the forward edge of the bulkhead board.
